We are delighted to announce that Prof. Markus Scheibel has taken office as President of SECEC.
Chair of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Campus Benjamin Franklin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, Prof Scheibel is an internationally recognised shoulder surgeon, clinician and academic, with a distinguished career dedicated to advancing shoulder and elbow surgery, research and education. His involvement with SECEC spans nearly two decades!
His journey with SECEC goes back at least to 2007, when he received a Research Grant. Over the years, he has contributed to SECEC in many capacities, as Congress host, Committee Chair and Executive Committee member.
He officially succeeded Prof. Roger van Riet during the SECEC General Assembly in Barcelona earlier this month.
As we begin this new chapter, we look forward to working together under his leadership to further SECEC’s mission: advancing education and research, fostering scientific exchange, and connecting the shoulder and elbow community across Europe and beyond.
