As the reference European scientific society for shoulder and elbow surgery, SECEC supports a number of multicentric studies. This support draws on SECEC's own experience leading multicentric research since 2023.

Requirements
- SECEC-supported studies should represent genuine international collaborative projects in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery
- at least one of the study's principal investigators must be a SECEC full member
How to apply
Step 1 — Register your interest before any application : fill-in your details in the online form to register your interest to apply. A representative of the Registries and Multicentric Studies Committee will be contacting you shortly to discuss your project and the opportunity to apply for SECEC's support.
Step 2 — Apply using the official template
Step 3 — Final decision : the project will be evaluated on four evaluation criteria: scientific quality, feasibility, relevance, and project group. The final decision will be given by the Scientific Advisory Board (2 instances per year).

- SECEC network : +1500 active members, +65 Education Centres recognised as centres of reference for education in shoulder and elbow surgery
- Visibility opportunities on SECEC media (website, social media, newsletter).
- General documentation templates : these templates are designed to comply with European GDPR regulations. SECEC cannot intervene in the specific requirements of individual ethics committees, which vary by country and institution. It is each surgeon's responsibility to adapt the templates to their local ethics committee's requirements.
- Database access for data entry via EasyMedStat, for accepted contributing centres (with a commitment to enter at least 10 cases) once local Ethics Committee approval is obtained. The annual license cost is covered by SECEC exclusively for surgeons working in a SECEC Education Centre. EasyMedStat access is withdrawn after one year of inactivity.
Acknowledgment of SECEC support
Data-collection (and ownership??) remains the responsibility of the contributing centres.
Authorship and publication rights remain the responsibility of the study's principal investigators. However, any presentation and publication arising from the study must name and acknowledge SECEC support.
